Bartłomiej Tełewiak

Bartłomiej Tełewiak, a scholarship recipient from the Swiss Government and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, graduated with distinction from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, where he studied under Professor Roman Lasocki and Professor Szymon Krzeszowiec. He also graduated with distinction from the Hochschule der Künste Bern, where he studied violin under Bartłomiej Nizioł, in June 2010.

He is a laureate of the "Karol Szymanowski and Violino" and "Mozart 250" competitions in Katowice. He has participated in numerous music courses in Poland and abroad, honing his skills under the tutelage of professors such as Clarens Meyercough, Christoph Wyneken, Mikyung Lee, Krzysztof Węgrzyn, Semion Jaroszewicz, and Jan Tomeś.

As a soloist, he has performed with the Silesian Philharmonic, the Lower Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Elbląg Chamber Orchestra, and the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Karol Szymanowski's Violin Concerto No. 1 at the Lubomirski Festival in 2021.

In 2010, he also made an archival recording of Aleksander Glazunov's Violin Concerto with the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra.

Since the 2013/2014 season, he has been the 1st Concertmaster of the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra. In 2015-2016, he served as Concertmaster of the Elbląg Chamber Orchestra. He has also been a chamber musician with the AUKSO Orchestra and a soloist with the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra.

He has collaborated with the NOSPR, Aukso, Sinfonia Iuventus, and Orchestre Symphonique Bienne, performing under the baton of Marek Minkowski, Krzysztof Penderecki, Gabriel Chmura, Jerzy Semkow, Antoni Wit, Jan Krenz, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Maksim Vengerov, and Georg Tchitchinadze, among others.

He plays a contemporary instrument by Joanna Plęs, whose violin, due to its sonic qualities, remains in the collection of the Henryk Wieniawski Musical Society in Poznań.
