Monika Kruk graduated of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where she studied piano with an extended focus on vocal coaching. She received her diploma in 2012, studying piano in Michał Szczepański’s class and chamber music in Magdalena Blum’s class. She also completed the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Vocal and Song Studies Programme in Warsaw.
She is a recipient of numerous scholarships and has won many awards at chamber music competitions in Poland and abroad. Her artistic development was greatly influenced by her encounters with such distinguished artists as Jerzy Marchwiński, Olga Pasiecznik, Jadwiga Rappé, Stephen Drury, Esther de Bros, Ubaldo Fabbri, and Ronan O’Hora.
Together with Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk (soprano) and Anna Bernacka (mezzo-soprano), she took part in the world premiere and recording of Mieczysław Weinberg’s songs to poems by Julian Tuwim and Adam Mickiewicz. The recording was released on the album Weinberg (un) discovered (DUX, 2023), which was nominated for the FRYDERYK Award.
Together with Michał Marcol (violin) and Krzysztof Karpetа (cello), she also made the world premiere recording of chamber works by Paul Caro (SPMK Records, 2023). In 2025, an album featuring Polish music of the 20th century, recorded with Justyna Stanek, was released by DUX.
She has recorded Polish art songs as part of scholarship programmes and projects supported by the Ministry of Culture, including works by Jerzy Gablenz, Stanisław Wiechowicz, Piotr Perkowski, and Szymon Laks.
In 2019, she obtained her doctoral degree. She currently teaches chamber music at her alma mater and works as a vocal coach in the university’s singing departments.
